Its location is unique: a secluded hill encircled by emerald forests, tropical gardens and unspoiled hills. Nayara overlooks the majestic Arenal Volcano, one of the youngest and still active volcanoes in this hemisphere. Its imposing mountain dominates the landscape of the area and can be seen from almost every corner of the resort. Arenal is also the premier adventure destination in Costa Rica, with its soaring canopies, hanging bridges, waterfalls and caves, mountain biking, hiking, climbing, whitewater rafting, fishing, zip-lines, and nature safaris. For those interested in nature, there are bird-watching opportunities, ecological reserves, and wildlife galore. For those looking for healing and wellness, the Arenal area has many hot springs to bathe in and reenergize.

A Five-star member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Nayara has been acclaimed as one of the most romantic places in the world. Their heartfelt hospitality, impeccable service, fine cuisine, outstanding spa, amazing excursions and eco-experiences make Nayara the premier destination not only in Arenal but also in Costa Rica.

Light flows through the interiors, from the bedroom to the private gardens with rain showers, to the private terraces with secluded jacuzzis. Modern amenities compliment the rooms to make them the most desired and exceptional accommodations in the area. Enjoy the state-of-the-art facilities, including remarkable restaurants offering international and local cuisine, a pool bar, and a wine and tapas bar. The spa at Nayara is incomparable. Perched on a cliff overlooking the forest, the spa is a spiritual enclave in an emerald jungle, a place of rejuvenation, harmony, and beauty.

Our Opinion

This hotel near the Arenal Volcano is a worthwhile experience. From the moment you step out of the car and onto the steps of the hotel, you can tell you will have a five-star experience. The level of service was unparalleled. The staff is friendly without being overbearing and ready to assist with anything you might need. The room, grounds, and restaurants are beautifully designed and maintained. As for location, it is very close to all tours and a 10 minute ride to La Fortuna town. Their restaurants are easy to access and serve delicious food. Enjoy  the buffet breakfast every morning. The swim-up bar in the pool is a fun place to meet other guests. If you want a luxurious place to stay as you adventure in the Costa Rica rainforest, this is the place!
